Laser Skin and Scar Treatments
As summer approaches, many people desire to seek laser skin treatments and laser scar treatments to hide marks on their body during swimsuit season. Wanting to do this task is admirable, but there are so many options to pick from when it comes to laser skin resurfacing. Here at Trilogy Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, we want to make the best treatment options available to you. Two of the most popular options at her center are Clear and Brilliant and Ematrix.
Clear and Brilliant
Battling the effects of aging on skin can be rather difficult, so it is often the best idea to address these problems before they even start. Clear and Brilliant uses laser treatments to achieve this task. In one treatment setting that lasts for about 10 to 20 minutes, aging skin will feel smoother, look younger, and be restored to its youthful glow that might have been missing in or fading away in recent years. For lasting results, routine treatments are needed, but they are simple and effective.
The process of working with Clear and Brilliant begins with a consultation with one of our certified professionals. This consultation leads to pointing out key areas of focus for the treatment. As stated previously, each treatment lasts for a maximum of 20 minutes, so it does not take long. It might involve a numbing cream application prior to treatment, which adds more comfort. This treatment makes use of Intelligent Optical Tracking to make sure the professional keeps in contact with your skin during the treatment uniformly. After the treatment, a topical antioxidant can be added to help with repairing the skin.
It is important to note that this treatment is non-surgical, and therefore, it is non-invasive. It creates an even complexion and reduces the appearance of pores, too. For youthful, radiant skin, Clear and Brilliant is often a popular choice among our patients. Learn more about Clear and Brilliant
Sublative Rejuvenation using Ematrix uses radio frequencies to reduce wrinkles, large pores, and scars while providing better overall skin texture. A grid of matrix spots is applied to the skin in order to lessen injury that skin has experienced over time. This procedure offers regeneration for collagen to improve skin tone and texture. The area treated by Ematrix, the untreated area, supports the treated area to promote healing. Approximately three to five treatments are needed to find desired results.
This procedure is great for people who want to lessen wrinkles, skin laxity, scarring, and fine lines without downtime for a surgical or invasive treatment. Ematrix does not rely on either of these aspects to achieve its goals.
There are some precautions, though. People who have used Accutane should wait at least six months before having this treatment. The same goes for women who are pregnant and breastfeeding. At the same time, patients who have internal defibrillators, metal implants near the area of concern, and pacemakers should avoid having this treatment done. Patients who have received injections of any kind in the treatment area need to wait at least one month before undergoing treatment with Ematrix.
This procedure does not rely on injections, either. It stimulates collagen repair and growth in order to restructure skin tissue. Most patients see lasting results within six months of treatment since growing and repairing collagen takes time. For the sake of making patients comfortable, the procedure starts with a topical anesthetic. There will be some swelling and redness to the treatment area after each treatment, but it goes away within a few days.
Here at Trilogy Medical Center, we want you to have the best laser skin resurfacing experience possible. Whether the treatment relies on laser skin treatments or laser scar treatments, we will find the perfect fit for your needs.
