The Non-Surgical Brazilian Butt Lift—Is It Right for You?
We at Trilogy are excited to offer the non-surgical Brazilian Butt Lift. We’ve had an explosion of interest in this procedure (the medical name is non-surgical gluteal augmentation).
Even with diet and exercise, it is difficult to target and change one area of the body. Surgical butt lifts often require 4-6 weeks of downtime (that’s weeks without being able to sit down!) and are invasive, requiring implants or liposuction.
Our procedure has so many advantages:
- No downtime
- No scarring
- No surgical complications
- No time off work
Plus, the results are stunning. A recent client said simply, “I love it and I want more.”
Brazilian Butt Lift—FAQS
1. Who is an ideal client?
Patients between the ages of 25-55 who are at or near their ideal bodyweight. Patients with a BMI of 21 should talk to us about other great options such as a fat transfer.
2. How long does it last?
The procedures last on average 2 -3 years, but the duration can vary patient to patient. A small percentage of patients have had the procedure last as long as 4 years.
3. What happens during the procedure?
The Butt Lift is performed by injecting a filler called Sculptra mixed with PRP (platelet-rich plasma) into the sides and/or top of your buttocks, just below the skin. Sculptra is a newer generation, FDA approved filler, often used for facial wrinkles. When injected, Sculptra has a mild inflammatory effect that stimulates your body to produce collagen. This collagen production is what makes your skin look younger and also what makes the results last. At Trilogy, we also take concentrated platelets from your own blood (PRP) and add it to the Sculptra. This part of your blood has special proteins in it that help stimulate cell growth. This combination produces great results. The entire procedure takes about an hour.
4. Is there downtime? What side effects should I expect? How long does it take to work?
There is no downtime for this procedure. You can go exercise or go back to work after having the procedure. Swelling, mild pain, bruising can be general side effects. Since the filler we use stimulates your body to produce collagen it takes some time for the collagen production to happen, usually 6-8 weeks but you will start to see results before then. Your body will keep producing collagen up to a year.
5. Is it painful?
The area is numbed with lidocaine and most patients feel very little during the procedure.
6. What are patients saying about it?
They are thrilled with the results. They are able to fill out jeans, pants, etc. without looking fake or unnatural.
7. How many treatments do you need?
On average 2-3 treatments are needed, spread out over several months. However, there are many variables to consider when designing a treatment plan specific to the patient. Talk to us at Trilogy and we will customize a treatment plan for you.
