THE O-SHOT FOR WOMEN
Throughout life, a woman’s body goes through many changes. Too many! Think of puberty. Think of child birth! Did I mention menopause? By the time a woman reaches her 40s and 50s, chances are that she is tired—working hard to take care of children or working to support a family or herself. She may be suffering from some chronic health problems. What if there was a way to rejuvenate the physical body? To look and feel younger?
Many women try wrinkle creams or fillers for a younger appearance. What if there was a way to rejuvenate from the inside out? What if there was a way to bring sexy back? Many women experience some form of sexual dysfunction, whether it is decreased desire or a harder time fully climaxing during that special time spent with their partner.
What is the O shot?
At Trilogy, we are offering a procedure called the O shot, a simple office procedure that can renew you just where you need it the most. The O shot is made of PRP, or platelet rich plasma, your own body’s platelets. PRP has amazing healing properties and is used in a number of different treatments at Trilogy including PRP hair restoration and various facial treatments. It’s also used by Olympic athletes to speed up injury recovery and tissue repair.
What problems can the O shot help with?
- Decreased libido
- Stress urinary incontinence
- Decreased ability to reach orgasm
- Urge urinary incontinence
- Chronic pain from childbirth (tears)
- Chronic pain from mesh
- Pelvic floor weakness and pain
- Regulate immune responses
- Help heal wounds
- Regrow nerve
What happens during the procedure?
When you come in for the O shot, we draw a portion of your blood and spin it in our centrifuge. We separate out the platelets and condense them into a serum. Since PRP is made from your own body, you don’t have to worry about side effects and allergic reactions. With a tiny needle, we inject PRP into the clitoris and vagina and other intimate areas determined by our doctors.
Does the O shot hurt? What are the risks?
If it is administered correctly, it shouldn’t hurt. Pain is minimal. Risks are minimal. The greatest risk is infection but if basic procedures for sterility are followed, then you shouldn’t have to worry about that. As with any procedure, results vary.
What does the O shot do? How does it work?
The PRP stimulates healing and growth of new cells, blood flow, and nerve tissue but is only present in the body for about 3 days. Just the way a bruise heals—how it may hurt at first, but as it heals, it feels better—that’s how the O shot works. At first, the majority of women don’t notice much change (although some women become very sensitive down there). But then, at about the 3 week mark, as cells start to be repaired and regenerated, many women start to see benefits. The treatment’s full effects can be seen at the 8-12 week mark, so some patience is required!
Do you guarantee that the O shot will increase libido?
Libido is influenced by a number of factors. Some of them are physical and some are emotional. It depends on what the cause of your low libido is. Have you faced abuse and does that interfere with the pleasure you feel? Do you have an emotional connection to your partner or are there barriers and problems? Do you feel good about your appearance? If your emotional life is in balance but your physical body has problems with libido due to chronic pain or complications from childbirth, for example, then the O shot may be able to help your physical problems heal and your libido increase.
